A day at Niagra Falls.
Before departing Rochester, Emily, Katelyn and I have a great breakfast at a hip diner down the street from Emily’s apartment called Jines. After finishing our eggs, we head for the border. The border crossing is pretty straight forward other than questioning whether I really rode the bike all the way from CA.
The view of the falls from our hotel room is pretty spectacular.

We stroll around the touristy downtown before settling on the Niagra Brewery for lunch. After a snack and a sampling of their brew, we head for the falls. The falls are truly spectacular. The three falls drop 165 feet and collectively represent the highest flow rate of any falls in the world. They are majestic from afar and intimidatingly powerful when standing close.

After taking in the sights and wandering around for a while, we go in search of the best poutine Niagra has to offer. Smoke’s Poutinerie, while not officially crowned according to the server, fits the bill.
[it’s more appetizing than it looks]
After a very slow recovery from the poutine, the three of us motivate for a night on the town. The evening is dominated by lot’s of laughs and “Ehs!” Emily is a trooper and wakes up shortly after bedtime to make the commute back across the border to be at her desk for Tuesday morning. What a great time hanging with Emily and her pal Katelyn.
